Life begin again at 60. Having trained with Luci for 14

"When I first came to Luci, I had just been
diagnosed with a progressive nerve disorder, with the expected prognosis of
being in a in a wheel chair by the time I was 50. I had very little confidence
in my physical ability with severe muscle weakness leading me to have
frequent falls. For years I had avoided taking on physical
activities that I had always wanted to do as a result.
Luci never saw my diagnosis as a barrier to me
achieving my full potential. In our weekly training sessions she would take me
through a stretching and pilates programme that was achievable and specifically
tailored to my needs. Because I had lost the ability to use many different
muscle groups, a lot of time was spent on recreating muscle memory. We
would spend time discussing how the movements should feel as I did them,
making sure I was using correct technique. Sometimes, I wouldnt be
able to do standard exercises straight off, so Luci would have come up with
creative solutions to allow me to work particular muscle groups in a way that I
could manage. As I've progressed, Luci's extensive knowledge in
nutrition, fitness training and meditation have also meant that our
sessions have been able to take a more varied and holistic
approach. These aspects are often overlooked in the medical
professions, but has been invaluable in my rehabilitation journey.
More than anything, Luci's great success as
a trainer can be attributed to her compassion, generosity and her
dedication to her clients. By working together and making little
goals every week, we have been able to build up my strength in a way I never
thought possible. After only 8 months of training I am now able to do
normal weights on the reformer, and am now starting to do weights at the
gym. The difference in my confidence, movement and energy levels is
incredible. I have been so privilaged to have Luci there every step of the
way and absolutely recommend her to anyone wanting to improve their
physical ability."

wellbeing through her drive and desire to be her own best - and not let
anything get in her way.
She inspires me because she is curious and thinks
for herself; she is tough, practical, pragmatic, and entrepreneurial. She is

'portfolio worker': she's entrepreneurial and business-minded, she can renovate

Luci has helped me in a variety of ways over
the past six months. I have developed my aerobic and anaerobic fitness and core
strength from her Pilates and spin classes, and also through 1:1 personal
training sessions 2-4 times a month. Six months ago, I organised my fitness
around her which has, in turn, helped me organise my life around my own
wellbeing. It's all about setting up a routine that can be sustained - and then
building on it.
What I appreciate is that Luci always
considers how I am on the day, in the broader context of my fitness goals and
my life. On the mornings I can barely drag myself to the gym, Luci starts the
session with energy-giving exercises. There's no 'thrash' and I always
walk out better than I walked in.
Luci uses an interesting and eclectic
blend of techniques; she has no agenda other than to have you feel and be
great.
Luci is caring and compassionate - whilst
suffering no fools!
Luci is open to new approaches, and keeps herself
on the cutting edge of, not just fitness, but the broader and more holistic
dimensions of wellbeing. She walks her talk, has done her own work, and
knows what she knows.
